TENDER


By n-ost Reportage Award 2011 draws n-ost for the fifth time journalists that make visible with exceptional features Eastern Europe. N-ost shall encourage a high-quality coverage that breaks stereotypes and transcends borders.

will award linguistically outstanding reports from Central and Eastern European countries between 1 April 2010 and 31 March 2011 in the German media have appeared. The prize is worth € 2,000 (1st prize), 1.000 € (2nd prize) and 500 € (3rd prize).



CONDITIONS

The submitted texts are to be published in the German daily and weekly newspapers, magazines and online media. Publications in employee, association or customer leaves and radio reports are not accepted for review. It is the printed version of the text.

a list of countries from which the n-ost can report price is reported, is found under www.n-ost.org/ reportagepreis2011 . The report may in part play in other countries, when an Eastern European country is thematically in the center and has researched the author there.

Application is open to editors, freelance journalists, volunteers and students at journalism schools. Each sender may submit only one article. Besides their own reports can also texts of other journalists are proposed. In joint work, no more than two authors are involved. The winners of the past three years are excluded from participation.

The following documents are required:

  • completed Entry form (download at www.n-ost.org/ reportagepreis2011 )
  • CV (only for in-house applications)
  • brief justification for the application (max. half page of A4)
  • text as original prints or good readable copy
  • text as a manuscript without naming the author and medium in five copies, individually stitched and perforated. Please use the appropriate form ( www.n-ost.org/ reportagepreis2011 )!

The documents must be in the order given by 15 April 2011 at

The copyright for submitted articles remain with the participants. n-ost entitled in case of an award for publication of the post. False information will lead to exclusion and to withdraw any prize awarded. The decision is final. Members of the n-ost Bureau and the office will be excluded from participation.
